Bell’s recently released Novatel MiFi 2372 3G routers are certainly useful things to have around, but it seems that there is some poor news that pursues the device. Apparently there are some cases where the device battery may swell, causing the device to malfunction. With that being the situation, Bell has made arrangements to replace your mobile hotspots within a 6-8 week period, and you’ll be getting a Novatel U998 Turbo Stick to enjoy while waiting for your MiFi 2372 to be returned to you. Owners of the device should be receiving a pre-addressed prepaid envelope which you can use to return your device, and the U998 Turbo Stick should be included as well. Oh, and just to manufacture certain that you stop using the device until the battery and battery cover have been replaced, Bell has decided to deactivate all Novatell Wireless MiFi 2372 devices. Sounds poor, but at least the batteries haven’t blown up (yet) and Bell is willing to replace them.
